Stockade & Blockhouses

IMG_2301-2.JPGThe existing fort is the second reconstruction of the original. It was built in 1956 and features two 20'x20' blockhouses with a connecting stockade. Inside the area of the fort lies the corner marker of the Treaty of Greenville, which was established in 1795 and surveyed in 1799. Down the hill from the fort is the original location of the Wabash River which has since been diverted to its current location. The fort is directly located next to the Fort Recovery Museum.
